Proven developed (PD) reserves with respects to an oil and gas lease are the amount of reserves that may be recovered from where there are existing wells, that may or many not be in production, where minimal additional investment is required in order to recover the oil and gas in place. This is different from Proven Developed Producing Reserves (PDP) which includes only those reserves which are actually in production.
